Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Nelly G. Herrera passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 7th., 2023 at the age of 71 at a local hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas surrounded by her loved ones.
Mrs. Herrera is preceded in death by her mother Nellie Hardin, Araceli De Luna, her brother David Hardin, sister Donna Gonzalez and her aunt Carmen Garcia.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Benancio Herrera, her daughter Annabelle M Cerda (Miguel), Melissa Mendoza, Cynthia Alaniz, her sons, Raymond Mendoza, Benancio Herrera III, Tony Herrera, along with 26 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, sisters, Norma Madrigal, Debbie Riojas (Javier Sr.), brother, Billy Hardin (Elsa), sisters, Diana Hardin and Elizabeth Hardin, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that were loved dearly.
Mrs. Herrera was a board member of the Universal Little League for 25+ Years helping along side of her many dear friends, she had a beautiful life loving and carring, strong Faith, Loved her whole family and friends

Public Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Road Corpus Christi, Texas with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m that same evening. Rites of a Christian burial will be celebrated at Nuestra Senora De San Juan De Los Lagos, 1705 Frio Street. Burial will follow at Memorial Park in Robstown, Tx.
