Ninfa enjoyed cooking and was famous for her Menudo and Tamales which will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She loved to garden, raise farm animals, and spend time at the casinos.
Ninfa was preceded in death by her husband, Elias Martinez; son, Alejandro Martinez; mother, Juana Melo; father, Crescencio Garay; sister, Maria Garay; and niece, Josefina Rebeca Rodriguez Lugo.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Ricardo Garay, and Silvia (Richard) Dick, of Corpus Christi, and Arecele Garay, of Houston; grandchildren, Christopher Garay, Markis Garay of Washington, Analisa (Gabriel) Garcia, Alexander Martinez, Alexis Garcia, Jasmyn Garay, Mercedes Balboa, all of Corpus Christi; Fernando Garay and Carlos Garay of Houston, and Crystal Garay of Mexico; great-grandchildren, Eren Garay, Niko Garay, and Lorraine Eleanor Garcia all of Corpus Christi, Daira Otero and Giordano Otera, both of Mexico.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Richard Dick, Gabriel Garcia, Alex Martinez, Chris Garay, Markis Garay, and Ricardo Garay.
A public visitation for Ninfa will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. Funeral service will also be held Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 10:00 am at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with interment immediately following at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
