Oscar Salinas Jr.

Oscar graduated from Bishop High School and received an Associates degree and other certificates from Del Mar College. He was married to Raquel Salinas on January 1, 2012.

Oscar worked as a welder inspector for Gulf Marine, Kiewit and Chevron. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, family time, barbequing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Salinas Sr.; mother, Dalia Salinas; and niece, Azylnn Jade Salinas.

Oscar is survived his wife, Raquel Salinas; children, Raquela Salinas, Richard Oscar Salinas, Axl Martinez, Melvin (Abby) Martinez and Yaeel Lopez; grandchildren, Eleana and Mateo Martinez; siblings, Sylvia (Arnold) Anzaldua, Elizabeth (Gabriel) Serna, Luis Salinas, Diana Griffith (Logan Kotrys), Jaime (Nelda) Salinas; also several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Oscar will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas, followed by a prayer service at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cementerio De La Luz in Driscoll, Texas.
