

Rebecca M. Ramirez, known as Becky, peacefully passed away on December 19, 2023, at the age of 68 in her hometown of Corpus Christi, TX. She was born on August 13, 1955, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Ruben Martinez, Sr. and Josephine Martinez. Becky had a strong and outgoing personality. She was a breast cancer survivor.
Becky is survived by her loving family, including her daughters Veronica Tori Gonzales, Venessa Tara Martinez, Vivian Leigh Terry, and Valyssa Lillian Terry. She was a cherished grandmother to Regan Gonzales, Jesse Gonzales, Jordan Gonzales, Rebecca Gonzales, Alexis Martinez, Alina Martinez, Angel Martinez, Neveah Marie Martinez, Malachi Terry Maza, Rodney Martinez, Rodrick Martinez, Robert Gonzales, Maximus Martinez, Saint Martinez, Richard Ray Arthur, and Logan Rene Flores.
Becky attended Roy Miller High School and later embarked on a career in the Nueces County Risk Management Department. Her dedication and commitment to the safety and well-being of her community were unmatched.
Becky loved to sing, enjoyed fishing trips with her grandkids, and embarked on road trips. She had a deep appreciation for classic films like "Gone With the Wind" and more recently enjoyed watching Korean movies. Additionally, Becky volunteered her time with the Special Olympics, leaving a positive impact on the lives of many.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart, 4901 Everhart Rd., Corpus Christi, TX on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening.
Visitation will continue at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1302 Lantana St., on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 9:00 am with the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 am. Services will conclude afterwards.
A Celebration of Life reception will follow Mass.
