Rigoberto G Guerrero

He was born on January 4, 1929, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Francisco Oviedo Guerrero and Maria Luisa G. Ramirez.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Emma S. Guerrero, his parents, brother, Rogelio Guerrero, and grandson, Orlando “Big O” Bernal.

He worked for the City of Corpus Christi as a senior storm water pump operator and parking meter repairman until his retirement at the age of 84. He was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was very mechanically inclined, enjoyed fishing and repairing small engines. He will always be remembered for his devotion to his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Oralia G. Rodela, Olga (Jose) Bernal Sr., Mary Lou “Lula” (Raul) Segovia, Anna (Kino) Zavala, and Juanita (Jose Luis) Rodela; siblings from Chicago, Illinois, Baudilia Osorio, Ricardo and Francisco Guerrero, Dolores Guerrero, Berta Guerrero, and Josefina “Josie” McWilliams. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, January 5th, 2020, at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church, 1101 Bloomington Street, Corpus Christi, Texas 78416, on Monday, January 6th, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
