

Robert R. "Ray" Crisp, 78, passed away on January 16, 2015. Ray was born in LaSara, Texas to Robert Crisp and Edith Crisp. He grew up in Kingsville, Texas, and then moved to Kerrville, Texas where he met and married Alice Galloway. They moved to South Texas and settled in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Ray worked in sales for many years, and then went to work for Koch Refining (Flint Hills) from where he retired. He enjoyed the outdoors including fishing, hunting, bird watching, gardening, bee keeping and especially flying his radio-controlled model airplanes. He also enjoyed playing his guitar. He was a skilled craftsman and he was a man of deep faith, courage and strength.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert and an infant son.
He is survived by his mother, Edith Crisp of Wimberly, Texas; his wife of 55 years, Alice; son, Mark (Cathy) of Fort Worth; daughters, Vicki (Randall) Rice of Montgomery, Texas and Jeannie Crisp of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Logan (Kathy) Crisp, Cameron (Maegen) Crisp, Jennifer Lowak, Jessica Podrebarac and Daniel Bennett; sisters, d’Juana Taylor of Lubbock, Texas and Wanda Braudaway of Colorado Springs.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, 8200 Old Brownsville Road. Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Villegas officiating, interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
