

Rodolfo G. Molina, lovingly known as “Rudy,” passed away on December 17, 2025, at the age of 79, in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he had resided for many years. Rudy was born on November 23, 1946, in Corpus Christi and was a proud graduate of Miller High School.
After graduating high school, Rudy proudly joined the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1967. He was a very proud Vietnam veteran and deeply valued his military service, often sharing his Army stories and photographs with family and friends.
On December 10, 1965, Rudy married the love of his life, Mary Guajardo, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Together they recently celebrated 60 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, dedication, and family. Rudy worked in the refinery industry for over 35 years before retiring from Valero.
Rudy had a passion for life and enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and barbecuing. He was an avid sports fan who loved watching nearly any sport on television and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play in their sporting events. He was well known as a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan.
He loved traveling and visiting casinos, and one of his favorite pastimes was playing games such as Crazy Eights, 31, dominoes, dice, and board games, especially with anyone who thought they could beat him. Rudy was also known for his playful personality and sense of humor, often telling jokes and pulling pranks, including playfully scaring family members around the house with his Halloween masks.
Rudy was a mentor to many, including his nieces, nephews, and neighborhood children. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family and made countless memories that will be treasured forever.
Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, Ventura and Elvira Molina, and two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Molina; his children, Rodolfo Molina Jr., Sandra (Scott) Horvath, and Amy DeLeon; his sister, Gloria Ketchum; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Mary Molina for her unwavering love and care, and for never leaving Rudy’s side.
Rodolfo “Rudy” Molina will be remembered for his love of family, his humor, his mentorship, his patriotism, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on December 26, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel, located at 549 Cheyenne, Corpus Christi, TX 78405. A prayer service is scheduled for December 26, 2025, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the same venue.
The funeral service will take place on December 27, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Funeraria Del Angel.
Following the funeral service, a committal service will be held on December 27, 2025, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 2731 Comanche St, Corpus Christi, TX 78408.
