Rosita, aka Rose, was a widow and married to the late Ernesto Dumlao from 1948 - 1976. She was born to her late parents Enrique and Faustina Quitan on January 3, 1919, in Pit-ao, San Clemente Tarlac, Philippines. She grew up as the youngest child with her late brother Philip Quitan Arcia Sr. and late sister Rosalia Aguilar.
Rose graduated in the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Dagupan City College. She was an educator for 30 years, retired at the age of 58 in 1977, and was a member of the “Retirement under Republic Act 660 (aka “Magic 87”).
Rose arrived in the US in 1978 and later received her U.S. citizenship in California. In 1985, she co-founded the non-profit organization “Sampaguita Senior Group” in San Jose, California, which now holds 350 members. She enjoyed music, dancing, and travelled to several locations like Canada, Hawaii, Florida, New Orleans, Louisiana, Nevada and Tijuana Mexico. She resided with her children in San Diego, San Jose and Antelope, California. In 2012, she finally settled in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Naomi/Brett Jimison; Christian, Angelina, and Daniel Francisco; Chloe and Brody Roldan; Makayla and Eliana Antiporda; Elijah Jayce Vasquez; Aundreya Jayde, Cadence Ailani, and Trinity Cerene Mabalot.
Rose is preceded in death by her grandson Mark Dumlao Limos (8/14/20) and great grandson Elijah Ithiel Antiporda Abad (1/9/20).
A Memorial Service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX at 2 pm, Saturday, September 19, 2020. Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service.
