Susan Lee Wyatt, age 74, passed away in Corpus Christi, TX, on October 15, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones.
Susan was born on September 9, 1947 in Corpus Christi, TX, to James Otis Wyatt Jr. & Juanita Blanca Wyatt. At the age of 6, her mother unexpectedly passed, and she was raised instead by Mom and Pop, her loving grandparents James Otis Wyatt Sr. & Verna Blanche Wyatt. She was raised in a small town of Carey, near Childress, and loved the life on the farm and riding horseback and holding people spellbound with her wild stories as a kid. She attended school in Carey until that school closed then went on to finish in Childress where she graduated from Childress High School. As an adult, Susan returned to Corpus Christi, TX, where she became a Certified Nurse's Aide and private caregiver, for over 30 years. Susan had a big heart when it came to her family and caring for others. As a result, she became greatly appreciated and dearly loved by the Madawoer, Leal and Ysassi family for her years of care for their loved ones. Susan was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan win or lose. When there wasn’t a game on, she was reading her books and chatting with family and friends. She had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor, and her family will always remember her for her famous responses to I love you with “I love me too” and how are you feeling? “with my fingers”.
Susan was proceeded in death by her parents James Otis Wyatt Jr. and Juanita Blanca Garcia Wyatt, her grandparents James Otis Wyatt Sr., Verna Blanche Garrett Wyatt, Juan G. Garcia, Isabel C. Navarro Garcia.
Susan is survived by her four children Jeffrey Lee Wyatt, Anne Pace, Anthony Ronnell Cline, Elisa Michelle Cline, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; auntie, Mattie Estella Wyatt Rich; brother, Gary Lee Wyatt; sister, Verna Lee Wyatt; stepmother, Elisa Sofia Moreno.
Services will be held at Funeraria del Angel Funeral home, 549 Cheyenne St., Corpus Christi, TX 78405 on November 8.
