Teodulo Montemayor

He was born in El Guardado, Dr. Gonzalez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on February 17, 1931. He was married to Angelica Gonzalez De Leon on February 19, 1961.

Teodulo worked in agriculture in Othello, Washington for many decades before moving to Corpus Christi in 1980. In his remaining years of working he dedicated time to his “Rancho” in Nuevo Leon to raise cattle.

Teodulo was preceded in death by his parents Fernando Montemayor & Maria Del Refugio Garza. Along with his brothers and sister – Manuel Montemayor, Jose Montemayor, Jesus Montemayor, Enriqueta Martinez, and Fidel Montemayor.

He was survived by his spouse Angelica and 4 daughters & 2 sons - Thelma (Alex) Estrada, Adrian (Mari) Montemayor, Ted Jr. (Alice) Montemayor, Angie (Mike) Ramirez, Juanita (Mike) Brown, & Lori (Leslie) Montemayor.

He was survived by his sister Maria Guadalupe Montemayor Garza.

Upon the death of his brother, Jose Montemayor in December 1980, who left six surviving children, 1 daughter and 5 sons - Teodulo and Angelica took them under their wing and helped raise them in lieu of their deceased father. The surviving nephews and niece are Anna (Sergio d.) Martinez, Victor (Sandra) Montemayor, Joe Montemayor, Homero (Velma), & Mario (Juana) Montemayor. Enrique Montemayor has preceded Teodulo in death.

Teodulo is also survived by 19 grandchildren, Roman Estrada, Alyssa Estrada, Zach Estrada, Sophia Estrada, Marcela Montemayor, Diego Montemayor, Andrea Montemayor, Teddy Montemayor III, Vanessa Montemayor, Katrina Montemayor, Marco Ramirez, Adrian Ramirez, Daniel Ramirez, Ethan Ramirez, Olivia Ramirez, Andrew Brown, Justin Montemayor, Valerie Montemayor, & Victor Jr. Montemayor.

He is survived by 7 great grandchildren, Justis Hafer, Jasper Hafer, Jonah Hafer, Aiden Gomez, Teodulo Ryder Montemayor IV, Emma Gonzalez, and Victor Montemayor III.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly on Monday, September 30, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm.

A chapel service will occur Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 at 10:00 am at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly with burial following the service at Memory Gardens, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
