Thomas C. Berger, Jr., 91, passed away December 16, 2010. He was born September 20, 1919 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Thomas C. Berger, Sr. and Marie Ashcroft. Mr. Berger, a veteran of World War II, served in the Medical Corps, 5th Army in Africa and Italy. He had been employed as a sales manager for American Airlines in Philadelphia and McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey. Tom was a sportsman and an avid duck hunter. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Richard and Gene, formerly of Haddonfield.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-eight years, Gertrude E. Berger of Southampton, New Jersey; one son, Thomas C. Berger, III. of Corpus Christi, Texas; two granddaughters, Valeria Berger of Portland, Oregon and Melanie Berger of Corpus Christi, Texas.
A private burial will be in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey. A memorial service will be held at a future date in New Jersey.
