
He was born in Coshocton, Ohio, on May 8, 1925, the son of the late Arthur D'Ostroph, Sr., and Bessie (Carr) D'Ostroph. Arthur served in the U. S. Army during World War ll in the European Theatre of Operations, including Normany. He was decorated with several campaign medals, the Purple Heart, and Bronze Star. He was a lifelong self employed Truck Driver, and a member of the D.A.V. He was married to Dottie Belle (Buckmaster) D'Ostroph, who preceded him in death on January 11, 1995.
He is survived by his five sons, William "Tony" (Brenda) D'Ostroph of Warsaw, Ohio, Rick (Penny) D'Ostroph of Coshocton, Ohio, Randy (Carol) D'Ostroph of Brockton, Mass., Chuck (Jackie) D'Ostroph of Coshocton, Ohio, and Terry D'Ostroph of Arizona; eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren; two half brothers, and two half sisters.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald D'Ostroph.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. in South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton. There will be no calling hours. The Given Dawson Funeral Home is serving the family.
