Betty Jean Cox

Betty graduated from Dresden High School and married Charles R. Cox on April 9, 1950 who preceded her in death on June 5, 2009. Betty was a lifelong Baptist and loved shopping, yard work, and planting flowers. Betty was very enthusiastic about Christmas and other holidays.

Betty is survived by her children Bonnie (Kenny) Wood of Indiana, Jane (Ed) Elliott of Coshocton, and Betsy (Freddy) Milligan of Coshocton, 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 31 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Anabelle Cantrell, and daughter in law Kay Cox.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years Charles Cox, her parents, son Richard, son in law Freddy Milligan, grandson Michael, 2 great-granddaughters, 1 great-great granddaughter, siblings George Hahn, Donald Hahn, and Joann Hahn, and a pet dog Charlie.

Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm officiated by Lloyd Tenney. Burial will take place at South Lawn Cemetery.
