Christina was born to Lawrence and Judy (Slaughter) Wiley on November 19, 1963 in Aberdeen, Maryland. After graduating from Riverview High School, Christina worked as a waitress for The Mill at Beuhler’s, in Roscoe Village, and a number of other restaurants. However, her favorite job was working in the cafeteria for the Coshocton Elementary School. On September 9, 2009, she married Albert Abel, who survives. Christina was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Coshocton Elks. Christina enjoyed taking care of her cats and supporting numerous animal foundations. She liked to take pictures and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Christina will be remembered for her caring nature and for the kind and thoughtful things she did for everyone.
Along with her husband and parents, Christina is survived by her one son, Joseph Abel, two step-daughters, Kelsey and Karley Abel, six grandchildren, Braelynn, Haven, Steven, Jaxton, Saywer, and Brooklynn, one brother, Doug (Jessica) Wiley, two sisters, Cindy (Dan) Marlatt and Carma Richardson, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. with a Catholic wake service beginning at 5 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Victor R. Wesolowski officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
