

Dinty was born in Newark on March 20, 1942 to the late Clarence and Florence (Welch) Moore. He attended his first two years of grade school at Blessed Sacrament in Newark and then continued on to Sacred Heart School in Coshocton, where he graduated in the class of 1960. On November 26, 1966, Dinty married Sandra Queen, who preceded him in death on August 11, 2014. He worked as an inspector for General Electric for 32 years before he retired. Dinty was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, chapter 994 and the Eagles Lodge #761. Dinty was an avid sports fan and a Civil War buff.
Dinty is survived by his favorite grandson, Clinton Moore, two sisters, Sharon and Karen Moore, five nieces and nephews, Gary Moore, Dianne Wilson, Jackie Moore, Tammy Lillibridge, and Carol Sheets, his sister-in-law, Barb Moore, daughter-in-law, Tracy Weaver, and son-in-law, Joseph Weaver.
Along with his wife and parents, Dinty is preceded in death by his son Todd Anthony Moore, and his brother, Eddie Moore.
A funeral mass will be held for Dinty at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Victor Wesolowski officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
