RHDD was a part of Greg’s life since 1976, when he moved to Circlevilla in Conesville. Greg was one of 16 individuals who became the very first members of the RHDD family. In his early life, Greg loved working at Auer Ace Hardware, riding his bike, and tinkering with electronics. He always wanted the newest bike, CB radio, computer, or cell phone that was on the market. He loved posters of cars and hunting; they made him happy.
Greg thought of RHDD as family. Dave Williams provided support to Greg for more than 15 years. Matt Covic and Tom Merck were also very special people in Greg’s life, providing him with love and support to live independently in his home.
Later in life, Greg loved to vacation at Salt Fork with Dave Williams. Dave went out of his way to make sure that Greg was able to experience a meaningful and enjoyable life. Greg loved fishing and during one of those vacations, Greg had fallen asleep on the deck. Another person caught a big fish; he asked Dave if he minded putting the pole by Greg, when they all said “Greg you got one!” you should have seen the smile on Greg’s face. This is just one of the special times that Greg and Dave shared. The stories are countless and serve as a testimonial to the love Greg was lavished with, every day of his life.
Matt and Tom also took Greg on adventures on the weekends. Greg loved eating out and being involved in his community. These experiences were priceless and will forever live in the hearts of these extraordinary people who showered Greg with love and support.
Greg enjoyed going to RHDD Alternatives where he was a part of their family. He enjoyed having fun at their parties, hanging out with his friends, and laughing in that special way that Greg could laugh that would light up a room.
Greg will leave a hole in this agency that will never be filled. His presence emanated love and light, and his absence is felt by all.
