Richard Nelson Patterson, age 70, of Coshocton, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 14, 1950 to the late Thomas and Helen (Renner) Patterson.
Richard work for many years at Edmont in Coshocton. On November 20, 1971 he married Barbara (Hall) Patterson who preceded him in death on July 5, 2010. Richard enjoyed restoring his 1957 Pontiac Chieftain, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He helped everyone in any way he could and never knew a stranger.
He is survived by his two daughters, Dustie (Kenneth) Thornsburg-Medley of West Lafayette and Michelle (Kurt Laughton) Patterson of Frazeysburg; his lifelong partner, Mary English of Coshocton; step-children, Effie, Sammy, David, Vickie and Brittany; grandchildren, Shaden, Bryse, William, Bryana, Foxx, Cloe, Tanner, Arabella, Aydan, Baylee, Miles, Gyle, Stephen and Ava; six great-grandchildren and two on the way; one brother, Grant (Rhonda) Patterson of Newark; his lifelong friend, Leroy Gause and his beloved furry friend, Bella.
Along with his parents and wife, Richard is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Coshocton County Memory Gardens with Mark Granger officiating. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
