

Vera Helen Rose, age 97, of Coshocton, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017. She was born on April 14, 1920 to the late Merle and Edith (Ripley) Campbell in Dennison, Ohio and was raised in Gnadenhutten, Ohio.
Vera graduated from Gnadenhutten High School in 1938 and as one of the many “Rosie Riveter’s” during WWII; she later worked at Edmont Manufacturing Company in Coshocton for a few years, later becoming a homemaker. She married Jack Rose of Coshocton on May 26, 1947 and they spent 39 wonderful years together before his passing in 1986.
Vera was a member of Grace United Methodist Church; she was a remarkable seamstress and loved to sew. She was a wonderful aunt to all her nieces and nephews and will be missed by everyone that knew her.
She is survived by her sister, Donna Riley of Columbus, close nieces and nephews, Cindy Walling of Coshocton, Terry Romano of Florida; Bill Davis and Mark Davis both of Columbus, and several other nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Vera is preceded in death by several siblings and two sisters-in-law, Patricia (King) Holder and Gerry Coleman, both of whom were from Coshocton and a niece, Nikki Pierce of Coshocton.
Per Vera’s wishes, a cremation will take place with private graveside services being held at a later date.
