

Isaac Didi Saar, the son of Moishe and Jenny Helenberg, died peacefully on September 5, 2016 in Anaheim, California at the age of 66.
Didi was born on October 18, 1949 in Seret, Romania. He is survived by his wife Rutie Saar, his two children Yuval and Jennifer and also his sister Rachel Grodjinovsky. Didi leaves to grieve a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and numerous dear and wonderful friends.
In 1950, Didi and his family moved from Seret, Romania to Israel where he graduated high school and served in the Israeli Navy for 3 years. At that time he also participated in the Cherbourg mission after the 6 Day War in 1969.
In 1981, Didi moved to the United States and resided in Huntington Beach, California for 35 years enjoying the ocean, sailing, dancing, traveling all over the world, and just living life to the fullest.
Didi started his own forklift mechanic business from 1989-2001. He then worked as a warehouse manager from 2001-2011.
When Didi arrived in California in 1981, the first place he visited was the Lido in Newport Beach. He said then that this is the place he wanted to stay, live, and raise his family. Didi's departure from this earth will be at the same place.
A private funeral scheduled for Sunday, September 18, 2016 is being held at the Lido in Newport Beach, California. Rabbi Gersh Zylberman will officiate the ceremony.
