Jordyn was the ocean that connected the islands of our family - the sunshine that shone bright and deeply loving. Her heart, spirit, compassion, and resilience left a lasting mark on everyone she met. She put her heart and soul into everything she set her mind to, with fierce tenacity and powerful determination, even in her darkest times. She fought her battles quietly and bravely, choosing kindness, laughter, and love even in her most painful moments. Her spirit, warmth, and generosity will forever live on in those who knew and loved her.
Her passing was the result of heart complications.
She absolutely adored her fur babies - Phiggy, Pipa, Bobby, and Puck. Her heart would go out to all the stray cats in the neighborhood; she recently introduced to the family two of them, who we have now adopted, Snow Dirt (who has now been renamed Chrysanthemum “Chrys” in Jordyn’s honor) and Boy Dirt (renamed by her to Rigby).
In tribute to her courageous navigation of mental health challenges, a special memorial page has been set up with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Please consider visiting and supporting with comments and a donation https://donate.nami.org/JordynYoung
Even with her struggles, Jordyn graduated from California State University Dominguez Hills Summa Cum Laude in Fall 2024.
Jordyn was also a firm believer in the gift of life and was an organ donor. Her request was honored, and she will benefit many others with her special contributions. Please consider registering as a donor to honor her and others - https://donatelife.net/

The family will share first, followed by an open invitation for friends to share cherished memories and lighthearted moments. As time permits, we invite folks to stay and join in karaoke to celebrate in song. Light refreshments will be served.
Jordyn truly enjoyed her time as a student at Cypress College, where many came to appreciate her sparkles through her dedicated work in the DSS office. Because she loved supporting students, she had intended to pursue a lifelong career in higher education. In loving memory of her passion and spirit, the family is establishing a legacy scholarship. This fund will aid students by offering a helping hand to those who may need a little extra financial support to reach their goals.
