Katherine Katie H. Meyer Mccabe

Beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Born June 26, 1935 to Catherine and William Meyer in N.J. Married to Allan McCabe "her marine" on June 17, 1953 at Saint Anthony's Church in Paterson, NJ. They lived in Paterson, N.J. She had three daughters Eileen, Karen and Sharon.

In 1996 she moved to Costa Mesa, Ca. Her Grandson MarkAllan was born on 10/16/96. Mom was so happy to be with him. He is a better man today because of her unconditional love. We live close to each other and shared our lives on a daily basis.

Mom enjoyed lifetime friendships with Audrey Fraenza and Judy Schepis.

She enjoyed many great years with her "girls" at California Hairlines, especially her beloved Cory and Diana.

She enjoyed driving around town in the 1956 Chevy Bel Air and loved to be at the beach.

Mom shared her life with dad and they took care of each other. They enjoyed long drives along the coastline and many boat rides around the harbor. As her health failed she still managed to care for and comfort him. He will miss her deeply.

She loved her sister Margie. She was passionate about children and loved her pet cat squeaky.

In honor of my mom please commit to an act of kindness. Smile at a senior citizen, hold the door, do something to validate that we love and respect senior citizens. Pay it forward. That is who my mother was and that is what she would want us to do.

We will carry on with her work, I am a better woman because my mom loved me.

A graveside memorial service will be held Monday July 29, 2013 at 2 pm at Harbor Lawn - Mt. Olive Memorial Park Costa Mesa, Ca.
