Hard to believe that its been 5 years ago, today, since you left us!  i know you are enjoying, where you are!  We all miss you, bur glad that you are completely whole!

I remember mom, sitting in the choir, watching us kids, everywhere in the church. I knew not to dare pass notes, talk, joke , or misbehave. Was fun trying to get away with it though.

Aunt Kay was and will always be an awesome blessing in my life.  We shared a great love of Jesus, flowers (especially yellow roses), her mom (my grandma), her grandmother (my great grandma), and the beach.  I remember her delight when we visited Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach and Newport Beach.  Our last conversation a few days before she went to be with the Lord was about the beach; the beauty of the waves, the sounds of gulls, the smell of the salt water and the feeling of the sand between our toes.

She shared wonderful stories about our family history which I will always treasure. 

Aunt Kay, I will never see a beautiful yellow rose or visit the beach without thinking of you.  May you rest in the peace of our Lord with your mother, your grandmother and your sister, my mom.

Kay's name and the name of Central Baptist Church flow together for me.  Kay taught the Two Year Old Sunday School Class for over 20 years.  Who does that?  20 years with 2 year olds????  And she taught them she did not simply babysit them.  Gracious, Kind, Gentle and, of course, Beautiful describe this lovely lady.  Faithful, so very faithful showing up on time every Sunday with a car load of her own children.  It was a joy to know you, Kay, pure joy.  I have fond memories of sitting in your kitchen just laughing until tears flowed at wonderful stories of your life.  Every year there was a Burnett in my 6th grade Sunday School department...such fun!  I would never have even guessed that you were six years older than me.  Last time I saw you it seemed you were younger than when we first met.  I know your welcome into heaven was amazing.  Jesus welcoming His favorite child...what a picture.  It won't be long and we will all be together.  Please find my Jim and give him a big hug.  Thank you for being a life-time friend.  

Thank you Grandma for loving me in your own way.  Thank you for your  thoughtful birthday cards, or kind words the rare times we got to spend time together.  My last memory is Easter Sunday where we had brunch at the Pomona Valley Mining Company followed by walking at English Springs Park. 
      The Christian’s last breath here on earth is the first breath in heaven. We don’t get there by money, success, or simply being good enough. We enter heavens gates because of Jesus Christ. You believed in Him and now you get to spend enternity with our Savior. I will see you again Grandma.
