Lore was born in Trier, Germany on August 1925 and moved to New York in 1938. She married David Spiegel in 1943 in Battle Creek, Mi. They began their family after World War II in New York City.
Lore enjoyed raising her family in Rockaway, N.Y., playing man jongg with all the neighbors, and working for the State Of New York. She retired in 1983 and moved to California in 1984.
After Dave passed, Lore eventually remarried Walter Sommerfeld who also preceded her in death. She is survived by son Howard and his wife Hedy, daughter Janet and husband Ken Lorin, son Steve and wife Susan, grandchildren Mark and Noah Spiegel, Brett and Erica Lorin, Michael, Jonathan, Marissa and Jeffrey Spiegel, and her brother Gunther and his wife Francis.
Graveside funeral service will be held at Harbor Lawn-Mt. Olive Memorial Park on Thursday September 2nd at 3pm.
