Lou was a wonderful, caring, happy, and friendly  member of our morning minyan group at Congregation Eilat in Mission Viejo - which sometimes included a little schlivovitz. He was my friend.
One day he allowed me to take his photo and I then made a quilt from it. Photo attached.

My condolences to you on your sad loss. You don’t know me, but I knew your parents from Congregation Eilat in Mission Viejo. I knew your dad better because I frequently attended the  weekday morning minyanim. We shared Torah and  Shlivovitz! I have such warm feelings about your dad. - what a special man. Always he smiled and was so kind and humorous.
I am the woman who made the fabric quilted portrait of him.

Gloria and Marvin,,
I am so saddened to hear of the passing of your father.  Uncle Lou and Aunt Dorothy will always hold a very special place in my heart. The summers I spent with your family in Youngstown are times I remember so fondly. I am glad I recently spoke with him and we shared a sweet conversation. I will miss him greatly, as I do your mom. My thoughts are with you all.
