Today is July 8, 2019.  Miles left this earth 7 years ago.  7 is an important number throughout the Bible.  (July is the 7th month, also.)  I hope to see good things happen this year.  I always try to fill up some of the emptiness with pictures, videos, thoughts and memories of Miles.  I hope others do, too.  Love you and miss you, Miles.  Dad.

Sweet Miles,  tomorrow is your birthday!!  I doubt there is cake and ice cream in heaven, but if there is,
by chance.......well,  indulge!!!   
I miss you all the time and think of the funny and happy memories we shared over your "way too short" life time.

I am thinking of Rob and Carolyn as tomorrow would have been Miles 24th birthday!  I know he is celebrating in heaven with Jack and Jason but we sure still wish he was still with us.  I clearly remember visiting Judi and seeing Miles with his bright eyes and big smiles always loving life, even as a little child.

Rob   I thank God that you had Miles to raise and bring such joy into your life.  I know how painful it is, and how much you miss him, but trust me please....you WILL be with him again in Heaven and you will never be separated again.

Thinking of how long 5 years is, and yet it feels like not so long ago you were turning 5 years old!  We miss you always, and your Mom and Dad do the most, but we rejoice that you are with Jesus and we will be together again.  When Jesus called his Disciples He said  " Follow me and I will make you fishers of men".  Miles always said, Follow me, when he wanted to show something.  I think now Miles says, Follow me to his friends, family and loved ones and make sure you go to heaven in the end, with Jesus.  Love and Miss you Miles Christopher.   See you when we get there! Happy Birthday, Miles.  One of your friends posted this on your Facebook page...I know now not to dwell on the loss of him, but to remember the memories he gave me, the times he made me laugh, the way he knew everything!  The way he smiled and how he laughed.  I won't cry anymore, I will only smile with the memories of him.  He is and will forever be an angel to us.  Rest in Paradise, Miles Eubanks. Some things I've learned in the past 2 and 1/2 years......

Heaven is for real. It should be the destiny we all strive for.
 The Bible is God's living Word, and is our life manual.
 God is real, alive and in control. All things work together for good to them that trust in Him.

We passed through the cries of all the "why's", and trudged into the ever painful "good-byes".

We seek knowledge from the wise and the Highs, and fix our stares at the vast, cloudy skies.

The tears rarely leave our sides, or our sad, swollen eyes; this surely is not an utter surprise.

The light of our lives!  Our beautiful sunrise!  No longer with us to feel our sighs.

Shall this life we despise; is it all empty lies, or can we find that eternal, promised prize?



The seasons change, time flies, emotions arise.  Every new day without you can taunt and agonize.

The lessons in books open our eyes and make us realize.  The big plan is not for us to criticize.

He hears our prayers, our cries and troubled sighs.  He knows our hearts; the contents and size.

God kindly guides our small, lost lives.  On His sturdy wings we accept our glorious rides.

Some truths he hides from impatient eyes.  His timing is perfect we must realize.

Dear Miles.  It's dad.  You left us one year ago, and not a day goes by that you're not missed.  I hope you feel the love we all have for you.  Your bench is in place now, and it's beautiful, just like you!  I know your real home is in Heaven, but your bench is where we'll spend time and think about you and remember your life with us. Well loved Miles is gone. Like so many precious and wonderful gifts, the wonderful person that shared his heart and skills and thoughts and time with us, and added so much to our lives is gone. All things pass away. God made it that way. But we have been able to experience your life, Miles, and through that experience we can take you with us through-out our own lives. We carry you with us and we give you new life each time we think of you and follow your example and add your ways to our ways. Great gifts never really leave us totally because their strong influence continues like a wave on the ocean. You are in each of us and we bring you with us, and your father perhaps most of all will carry you on in this life. Thanks for your gifts of love and compassion and the impression you have made on our lives in the short time that you were with us.

 To my dear, precious son, Miles.  I wish I could see you one more time.  I wish I could hug you.  I wish I could hear you laugh.  I wish we could talk about everything we used to, and all the things we didn't.  I wish so many things, but mostly I wish for your happiness in Heaven.  I think about you every day and every night.  I have many special memories of you, from being our new baby until the morning of July 8, 2012. I treasure the pictures, cards, videos and all the reminders of our life together.  I have faith and hope that you are in your new body and new home, and that I'll join you one day.  Our bond is too strong to be broken by Earth or flesh! Sweet Uncle Rob and Carolyn!

Your son received the best of both of you! How you each choose to center your lives around him was evident.  Making him a priority and not taking for granted the role and responsibility of parenting. He was marvelous because of it and how God hand crafted him even with his allergies early on to ensure that you guys would be close always, so there would be no regrets, is something to celebrate! You both chose wisely and for that your family brings convictions and speaks volumes to the nations as to where to put forth effort that lasts unto eternity! Miles, we miss you like crazy...felt so honored to finally be closer to you all and desired to explore more locally together and live life a bit more fluidly.
