Ngoc Van Ho
86 years old
July 10, 1934 - Long An, Vietnam
November 14, 2020 - OC Memorial Hospital
Mr. Ho did training in Oklahoma in 1961 and 1962 for air traffic control. While fleeing to the U.S. he met Miss To in Thailand and began a relationship. He then came to this country in 1982 where he went to Santa Ana College as an Electronic Technician. During that time he got a part time job as a teacher aid. While going to school at night, he was working at Archive until his department was moved in 1996 so he retired.
From there both Mr. Ho and Mrs. To started a family with their first born Christopher and 5 years later, Tiffany. Being retired, Mr. Ho stayed at home, cooking, taking care of the kids, and gardening. He was immensely dedicated in their education and all the teachers loved him dearly. All his family and friends in the HKDS and all around him loved the energy he radiated constantly. Despite breaking his neck in 2016, he fought all odds and recovered wonderfully and was stronger than ever, even continuing to drive himself. He was so selfless and made sure that mom, Chris, and Tiffany were always taken care of before his own needs. To the end, he had a strong will, wonderful sense of humor, was full of love, and happiness.
Mr. Ho is survived by Diane To (wife), Christopher (son), Tiffany (daughter); 5 kids from the first marriage, Ngoc Can, Hong Mai, Ngoc Danh, Hong Anh, Hong Nhung, Chau Buu (brother in US), 2 other brothers, and 4 sisters in Vietnam.
Thank you to all his beloved colleagues, HKDS, friends, and family.
