

Danita was born in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia as a McIsaac to Angela Hatcher and Russel Mclsaac.
She grew up in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia where she was raised by her mother Angela,Mike Anderson and her older brother Robbie who tragically passed away at 14.
Angela and Mike got married and Mike adopted Danita which then she took the name Danita Anderson.
In her early 20’s Danita met Barry. A few years later Danita had her first beautiful daughter, Ashley.
When Danita was 32 years old she moved herself and Ashley to Vancouver Island to be closer to family, there she met John Harrison and they welcomed two more beautiful daughters, Katie Harrison and Cassie Harrison.
Danita worked hard as a single mom providing for her three daughters. She was very well known at her job as it was a second home for her. She grew very close to her coworkers after 25 years of working with them and they became family to her.
When Danita was 45 she moved her three daughters to a beautiful home where Danita converted the garage into a mini pool hall. There she would host birthday party’s, family events and pool tournaments. She's always loved pool, she was in a league and creating a whole other family. Her pool family.
When Danita was 51 years old she welcomed her adored grandson, Hunter.
Anyone who knew Danita knows that Hunter had her wrapped around his little finger, she was immediately in love with being a grandma.
When Danita was 55 her mother Angela moved in with her and together they bought their first home which brought her so much joy.
When Danita was 57 she was diagnosed with stage 3 Melanoma, from there she fought the hardest she could. Enduring multiple surgeries and blasts of Immunotherapy all while welcoming her first granddaughter Luna when Danita was 58 years old.
Almost two years after the official diagnosis at 59 years old Danita took her final breath while being surrounded by family.
Danita and her family want to give a massive thank you to the doctors and nurses at Aitken Hospice society. They made Danita’s final days as relaxing and comfortable as they could.
