Grandkids: Ken (Julie), Derek (Deana), Allan (Shirin), Lindsay (Matt), Shelby (John), Tamara (Sean), Hayden (Taylor). greatgrandchildren: Dustin, Serena, Sophie, Hudson, Alita, Henry, Mirza & Grayson.
Emilie’s parents were from the old country of Slovakia when they immigrated to Quebec Canada as a prearranged marriage and it is there they started their family of 5 children.
Emilie was born and grew up in Quebec. When she was around 18 she joined the military where she was a flight control operator. 1960 she met David at a military dance in Clinton Ontario and they began their lives together in Quebec. They moved around to different postings including the Comox Valley in 1973 - 1977. When David last posted they returned back to the Comox Valley in 1980 to retire.
Throughout her life Emilie started nursing training and worked as a bookkeeper, also in the hotel industry in the Comox Valley as a housekeeper. She loved to go for drives with David. She liked her farm with her chickens and gardens, also camping. Emilie also liked to go to the casinos and dabble at the penny slots, but her pride and joy has always been her 3 boys.
Emilie will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
