Diana is survived by her son David (Kari), grandson Sam, many nieces, nephews and friends and predeceased by her daughter Deb, sisters Josephine and Dorothy and brother Monte.
Diana was born in Vancouver and had a long and fulfilling life. She played tennis, skied and curled in her younger years, volunteering later with seniors in North Vancouver after receiving her Home Support Worker Certificate at the age of 61. After moving to Comox, she also volunteered at the Unity Cupboard at St. Peter's Anglican Church. One of her greatest pleasures was being a doting grandmother to Sam, whom she adored.
Pinned to her photo board was a clipping that read simply, "NEVER GIVE UP." Well, she didn't, instead she bravely persevered over challenges all her life with strength and pride.
We are all so thankful to Dr. Hunter, Sharon and all the staff at Cumberland Lodge for their genuine caring, warmth and professionalism.
By request, there will be a small family service announced at a later date.
