Dear Norma and Family,
I am very sad about the news that Gerry passed away.
Gerry was a good friend of my father Karl, my mum Ilse and me. I was a child when Gerry stayed in Baden-Soellingen Airport. Gerry went hunting together with my dad and on sunday mornings we met him at the Road and gun club at the base. For me as a child, it was a wonderful time. And since he and his family left Germany we stayed in contact. Gerry is a part of my life. I will keep him in my heart.
Dear Norma, dear Family, my thoughts are with you.

Gerry was a good man and I admired and respected him greatly. We shared many common interests and I always enjoyed talking to him about the RCAF and its history. I especially enjoyed our visit to 888 Comox Wing RCAFA in 2009 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the creation of the RCAF Golden Hawks aerobatic team and the 100th anniversary of powered flight in Canada.

Karen and I offer our sincere condolences to Norma and Gerry's family.
