Kathleen Melanie Kennelly

Kathleen was born in Calgary, Alberta on March 6th 1956 and passed away in the Comox Valley on April 11th 2026.

Kathleen is predeceased by her father Patrick, mother Merna, Sisters Deirdre, Maureen and Maeve. She is also predeceased by her beloved husband Dennis. Kathleen leaves behind her daughter Dee Dee (Cliff), Sister Margaret (Rusty) and brothers Dermot, Kevin, Tim, Brendan (Robin) in addition to many nieces, nephews and friends.

In her younger years, Kathleen could be found hanging by the pool with her siblings or helping out with family chores. She later married Bill Bell and although the marriage didn't last long, they had a daughter (Dee Dee) which tied them together until Bill's passing. She later met Dennis Kennelly whom she spent the majority of her life with till his passing. They could be found most summers camping in the Upper Quinsam and when not camping, they could be found at the local beaches enjoying the wildlife. Their home was always filled with good food, good people and good drink. No one ever went hungry while visiting the Dogwood home. In her later years after Dennis passed, Kathleen spent most of her time with her daughter, sister and fur babies.

She had a great sense of humor and fought every challenge with incredible strength, will and determination. Mom, your fight is now over.

Kathleen will be remembered with respect and affection, and her absence will be felt by all who were fortunate to know her.
