Born on June 29th 1951 as Lesley Louise Moralee Ridgway in Chemainus on Vancouver Island, Lesley grew up to be a person full of life. Smart as a whip and infectious to everyone who met her, she will be missed tremendously.
Lesley had a motto that said that no one is less than you and you should be able to talk to anyone. She could walk into a room full of strangers and she would instantly make you feel like you had known her forever.
Lesley loved to travel, but was also very content just to sit on a bench on Point Holmes and watch the beauty all around her.
It therefore was so very sad that during the last three years of her life, she was not able to do all the things she was used to and loved so very much. Her humour and furious love of life kept her going way beyond expectations.
Bowing out graciously, Lesley is survived by her partner Carla. She was predeceased by her parents George and Margaret and her brother Chris.
Lesley was very grateful for all the support she received first by the staff of the Comox Valley Hospital and later by the members of Glacier View Lodge.
A celebration of her life will be held later this Summer.
