Margaret was predeceased by her parents Ethel and John Carr, St. John, New Brunswick, and cherished friend and companion Frances McLean.
Margaret lived a full and interesting life, had a large social circle and took priority in maintaining and nurturing those friendships. Being with family was especially important and she was lovingly involved in the lives of her cousins, their children, their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Margaret had a long illustrious career in Education as a teacher, guidance counsellor, sports coach and her love for travel took her on explorations around the globe.
Throughout her life Margaret aka Marg or Margie, enjoyed volunteering for Emergency Support Services and being part of the Celtic Club. As a long-standing member of the Comox Valley Presbyterian Church, she served as an elder, treasurer, and choir member.
Marg was an avid games player, polar bear collector, and gourmet cook being a member of a Gourmet Club! Entertaining was in her blood as we fondly remember family dinners at Marg’s house on many occasions. Christmas morning gatherings at each other’s houses to open gifts and celebrate was a favourite time!
As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her spirit and kindness.
The entire family extends heartfelt thanks to Providence at The Views for their love, compassion and care in the final years of Marg’s journey.
A life well lived, well loved, and well served.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, at Comox Valley Presbyterian Church located at 725 Aspen Road, Comox, BC.
