Sara was born on March 29, 1986, in Burnaby, BC. She and her family lived many places far and wide before eventually settling in Courtenay, which she came to call home.
Sara was a beautiful soul with a kind heart and a great sense of humor. Despite the challenges she faced in life, she was deeply loving, compassionate, and caring. Above all else, Sara loved her daughter and her family more than anything in the world.
Sara is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Justine; her mother, Karen; her sister, Julie (Jordan); her brothers, Joseph and Eric; her beloved Frank; and her nephews, Evan, Kaleb, and Asher. She was predeceased by her father, Rheo Labranche.
Sara’s life was complex, but she will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, her love for her family, and the beauty of her spirit.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family invites those who knew and loved Sara to remember her in their own way and to hold close the memories of her smile, her laugh, and her heart.
