It is with deeply saddened hearts that the family of Shirley Moller announce her passing after a brief hospital stay in Comox, B.C. while vacationing on the island, on September 5, 2023, at the age of 93 years.
Shirley was born in Nova Scotia on May 15, 1930. The second youngest of nine children, she is now survived by her sister Irene Brownlow. She moved to Victoria, British Columbia as a young lady where she later met and married her loving husband Theodore (Ted) Moller, having recently celebrated 66 years of marriage. Life saw Shirley, Ted and young family move to Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta in the mid-sixties where they made their permanent home for many years, and more recently to Sherwood Park, Alberta.
Sadly missed by sons Keith (Vivian), Kevin, and Robert (Anita). Loving grandmother to William (Amber), Regan, Justine (Jonathan), Megan (Logan), Alana, Ryan (Alicia), Evan (Leida) and Alyssa, and great-grandchildren Parker, Lillian, Arlo and Ava. Fondly remembered by her extended family including in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Shirley enjoyed square dancing, curling, camping, reading, and her years working part-time at Eaton’s. One could always find her in any store she shopped at by listening for a whistled tune. As a homemaker she excelled at baking, making delicious treats, especially at Christmas time.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service for Shirley will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Saskatchewan First United Church, 10409 - 100 Avenue, Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta T8L 1Z3.
