Bill spent his early years in various places in Alberta: Panoka, Sparfield, Fawcett and Edmonton before moving with his family to Comox, BC in 1945. He worked in the logging industry and also commerical fishing with his father - which started a much loved generational business for the Jesse men. Bill will be most remembered however for his work with the Town of Comox Public Works Department. Bill met and married his wife Kathleen (nee: Hawkins) and raised his family in the same home they built until his passing.
Predeceased by his parents, mother Anna and father Raymond, his loving wife Kay, sisters Margaret, Helen and Martha and one brother who died at birth.
Bill is survived by sons Ray (wife Cindy) and Scott, daughters Debbie and Darlene Jesse Forts (husband David). Bill was fondly known as Grandpa to Matthew, Joseph (Reisha), Liam, Connor, Freya, David and Devon; and great grandpa to Knox.
A small graveside service took place in March however a Celebration of Life will hopefully take place some time in 2021 (to be announced). Donations in lieu of flowers to the Heart & Cancer Societies would be appreciated.
