When we met I was surprised,
How magnificent you were in my eyes,
I wanted to be like you, 
Every bit of me through and through

At times I was so scared, 
But you were always there,
As the years crawled by so slow,
I still laugh when I see the snow

Now, I can't say for sure,
What exactly happened throughout the years?
Perhaps this is as they say,
What happens when two hearts astray

I grew up and at times felt stuck,
You started to treat me tough,
So I tipped my hat to wait for you,
But, oh no! Look at how time flew!

Because I felt for sure,
There was always something there,
Someday, somehow, this game would end,
And you would soon be here

I can't express my sadness,
Never have I felt so unsure,
I guess knowing you were somewhere,
Was better than just... Nowhere... 

I can't say I wish things would change, 
As the choices were ours to make, 
And I can't say to know what's right,
Or wrong in the lives we make

But, let me say it now, like I have never said before,
I really really missed you,
And oh so very sad... To have to tell you... Now...


There will be an empty chair at the holiday table this year, but it will be filled with loving memories.

Like two colliding stars we merged
Spellbound with deepening love that surged
With growing awe in our new found passion
Emblazoned by your keenly felt compassion
 
We spent each waking hour exploring
Each other and in time adoring
The closeness and the comfort that we share
And thus our souls so openly we bare
 
Go not into that darkest night my dear
With guilt, regrets or any thoughts of fear
Often times things have run their course
So leave behind any notions of remorse
 
Know my love how much it is I care
Cherishing each moment that we share
I will miss you deeply if you leave

Your work was both your pride and joy
Each new machine a precious toy
?Your energy is boundless still
?You had an endless, ironclad will

You loved to cuddle and hold me tight

And to this end, you did depart?
