Blair was born in St. Joseph's Hospital in Comox and grew up on Hornby and Denman Islands. He started logging at an early age and went on to be a commercial fisherman. He spent many years fishing and when he retired he made the best smoked salmon. A good friend says, "Thanks for the memories, shaking herring for 72 hours straight, filling days with checkers, picking a scow full of oysters all night just to watch it sink undertow in a NW gale. What fun we had. That big old grin through it all. Rest in peace my old friend, Cheers." Blair was a generous, kind, good friend to many. His family and friends are going to miss him dearly.
Predeceased by his father Harvey, mother Eunice, brothers Lance, Alex, Kevin, Richard and sister Donna-Sue.
Survived by his older brothers Terry and Bruce and families, sisters Mert Salvail, Leanne Parsons and families.
