TAMBLYN, Barbara Louise – Peacefully at her home in Bowmanville, on Monday October 24, 2016, surrounded by those who loved her and after a long and courageous battle with MS. Barbara was in her 52nd year. Loving mother of Lucas Glaspell and his girlfriend Sam. Cherished daughter of Judith and Allan Tamblyn. Adored baby sister to John (Karen), Stephen (Patricia), Alison (Steve), Lesley (Steve); and much loved sister-in-law to Gord Wallace. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Matt (Hillary), Krista, Jordan (Alexandra),Tristen, Mike (Tara), Brett, Nick and Ryan. Barbara lived gracefully and with dignity due to the care and assistance of the personal support workers and nurses of St. Elizabeth’s, for which her family is grateful.
Visitation will be held at Courtice Funeral Chapel, 1587 Highway 2, Courtice, ON (905-432-8484), from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday October 28, 2016, with a Service of Remembrance on Saturday October 29, 2016 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Canadian Cancer Society, or Hospital for Sick Children.
