Frieda Lisowski

We sadly announce that Frieda Lisowski passed peacefully at Orchard Villa long term care center on March 11 2025 at the age of 95. She has now gone to be with her beloved husband Stanley, to whom she shared many loving years with.

Frieda was the loving mother to Lorene. Beloved grandmother to Santana (Stephen), Krystle and Chantelle. She was the cherished great grandmother to Olivia, Landen, Ryker, Wolfe, Izabella and Jermaine.

She moved to Canada in 1956, not speaking the language, but her determination and strong work ethic allowed her to build a life for herself and proudly provide for her family. Over the years, she became known for her resilience, always giving her best in everything she did. She cherished vacations in Barbados, where she could relax and unwind, and Las Vegas, where she enjoyed the thrill of the slot machines. Her garden was a source of pride, a reflection of her care and dedication, and she kept her home spotless, always striving for perfection.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Orchard Villa for their unwavering compassion and support throughout this challenging time. Your kindness made all the difference.

A memorial service for Frieda will take place at the Courtice Funeral Chapel 1587 Durham Regional Hwy 2, Courtice, Ontario L1E 2R7 on Tuesday March 25 2025 at 1:30pm in the Chapel.
