John Edward Vowles

John was married to Cathy for 55 years, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Together, they raised three children: Laura and her husband Rick, Greg and his wife Claire, and Tara. He was a proud grandfather to Keira, Dylan, Carson, Oliver, Eli, Aimee, Chloe, and Ava, and is predeceased by his beloved granddaughter Emma Grace.

John was a beloved sibling to Arnold and his wife Kathy, Gaylene and her husband Dave, Roger and his wife Tandy, Victor and his wife Wendy, Gerelda, and Eric and his wife Bev. He is predeceased by his brother Art. John was also a brother-in-law to Leona and Lynda and her husband Bernie, and he leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses, PSWs, and staff who provided exceptional care to John at Hillsdale Estates and Ontario Shores.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 pm at the Courtice Funeral Chapel, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice, Ontario. A Celebration of Life will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. The burial of ashes will take place at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Millbrook.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
