Catherine and family, Watched the service today, I am sure Bob is very proud of you all, and what an honor to be the husband, father , grandfather and friend to so many. God bless and keep you in the day's ahead as you all enter a new season without Bob, his presence will always be with you as he so influenced all your lives. Sending big hugs .

Dear Poppa, even though we only had a few years after having known to you, you left us behind with tons of good old memories.. You had been a loving, caring grandpa to our kids & a dear Poppa to both of us.. You had been a  strong backbone & technical support to Sunil.. Our kids enjoyed the small get togethers & cutting birthday cakes at their birthdays.. I still remember you had been my navigator when driving kids to school in my inital days of driving car when Sunil was away.. We were so sad when you both moved to Bowmanville.. Even though we stopped seeing you more often, small video calls & phone calls from Mom Cathy made us so happy.. We also enjoyed the small visits we made to your new place.. Sunil was so excited you could recognise him & you were able to sip your favourite Tim Hortons coffee when you were so sick at your bed we visited last.. We admired your jovial & fun loving character... Poppa you were so blessed to have Cathy mom always with you, having taken care of you well till your last breath. Happy that you are at safe place where no more pain & we have another guardian angel looking over from up above... You will always be missed.. Lots of love & prayers... I worked for Cathy and Bob a few times and I can honestly say I enjoyed working in their home. Bobs hilarious comments and jokes made me laugh even while driving home. His humour wasn’t inappropriate to me but right on the same page. I would have loved to have known him sooner and longer. My sincere condolences to you and your family Cathy. He was an unforgettable man as I’m sure you know. Please feel free to call me for any of your plumbing needs, I consider you a customer for life. Take care.

We always had so much fun at fires and around the Station.  He always kept  his crew laughing, He was great a a Captain!!!

We have many memories of Bob and shared lots of laughs, but the one that stands out the most was when we purchased our house 27 years ago 8 houses from Bob and Cathy.

We had purchased shrubs and flowers for our new home lined them where they were to planted.  My husband and I went back to the garden center and returned about an hour later to find our flowers and shrubs were gone. We couldn't believe that someone had already stolen our plants!
Upon entering our new home there was a note left on the door stating If we leave beer on the porch no plants would be harmed.
And that's when we met Bob ransom note was honored and the rest was history.
Rest easy my friend.

Growing up in our tight knit neighborhood, Bob was a staple on our street. Whenever I'd ride my bike around the block, Bob would always be outside working in the garage and I'd always stop to say a quick hello. When I was younger, we got our family dog Boots from Bob and Cathy and I always thought that Boots got Bob's sense of adventure because she never wanted to stay in the house! Many fond memories of Bob and Cathy come to mind when I think of them and my thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time. Rest easy Bob ❤️

I love and will miss you dearly. I will miss my egg salad sandwich’s you would make for me that were absolutely done perfectly. Rest easy we will be here for your amazing wife and beautiful family.
