To comfort you in your heart,death unlike birth is nothing at all.  You have only slipped away into the next room.  I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.  Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way you always used.

Put no difference into your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.  Laugh as we always laughed, at the little jokes we enjoyed together.  I will play in my mind, think of you during these hard days and pray for you always.  Let my love for you be ever a household word that it always was.  Let it be spoken without effort, without evil, without the ghost with a shadow in it.  "To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die."

Hey Dad,I miss you more than ever, but you live through me every day, in music,  in adventure and soccer, in family, and in kindness towards others, and through learning, love and loyalty. Samuel was an incredibly kind and loving man.  He was a true gentleman.  He loved music of all kinds and loved listening to it or singing along.  He was very charming.  He will be missed and always loved.

Many years ago your father took a chance on me at Structural Formwork Limited and hired me for a job.  I am now in my 36th year.  As a matter of fact the people that are still here were hired by your Dad.  There is Jim Greig, Rhona Jones, Yusuf Malleye, Anita Shum and myself Joan Baubie(Patterson).  He has been thought of often.  I guess he knew how to pick employees.  Many time I have wondered what he was up to.  I would have like to thank him for hiring me.  He was a good man and may he rest in peace.

Dad was a kind, gentle and generous man and I will miss him dearly. His quick wit kept me laughing and his keen intellect showed me there is always more to learn. Thanks for all your love and support.  I love you Dad.
