SMITH, William John “Jack” -- long-time employee of Gray Coach Lines (TTC) and RCAF veteran of WW2, passed away Monday, November 25th, 2013, one month after his 89th birthday. Son of the late Philip John Smith and Frances May Ashcroft. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Virginia and his much-loved daughter, Leslie; son-in-law Kenneth Lakritz; beloved grandson William Ian Lakritz; his youngest sister, Edith and brother-in-law Reg Pyburn; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Philip, Ewart (Bill), and Fred, and sister Doris. Friends and family will be welcome to a funeral service in the Courtice Funeral Chapel, 1587 King St. E. (Highway 2), Courtice on Thursday, November 28th, 2013 at 1 p.m. Cremation will take place with internment of ashes later in Windsor, N.S.
