

Judith Mae Mc Allister was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Judith will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of Eddie and Betty Marks. Judith grew up in Cleveland, Ohio.
Judith was raised with four siblings. She had two older brothers, Eddie and Bill and two younger brothers, Joe and Bobby. Judith was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young girl, Judith had a number of interests. Like most children, she enjoyed playing and making up games. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. Judith's memorable achievements included being so smart she skipped second grade. However, to Judith, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends.
A typical teenager, Judith had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from Maple Heights High School in 1958. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers. Judith met her first husband George at age 14 at a CYO dance.
Always considered a “good” friend to those she knew, Judith enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime. Later in life, she became friends with Duane Johnson and Pat Bentley.
On September 5, 1959 Judith exchanged wedding vows with George Lawrence Zeman at St. Monica's Church of Maple Heights, Ohio. Empathic and loyal, Judith was committed to making her new family happy. On August 30, 1994 Judith married her second husband, Walter James Mc Allister in Covina, California.
Judith worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Judith was blessed with five children, four daughters, Debbie, Donna, Karen and Missy and one son, George, Jr. Another blessing for Judith was the gift of thirteen grandchildren, Bobby, Kelly, Kristen, Alisha, Adam, Billy, Matthew, Jacob, Kayla, Tyler, Nicholas, Jorgie and Alfonso.
Fortunately, Judith enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Judith worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was legal secretary. She was employed by Inter Community Hospital and George Relock Law Office. Judith always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Judith enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were camping. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Judith found pleasure in sports. Recreational sports included bowling. Judith was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following her favorite events whenever she had the chance to do so. Tops on her list were the Dodgers.
Throughout her life, Judith was a doer and was always actively involved in professional and community organizations.
Judith enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included going back to Ohio to visit family in her motor home.
Judith was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of her favorites was Bonnie, her Collie. They were best friends for 12 years. Her family was rounded out by her 2 dogs, Taffy and Maggie.
In retirement, she found new pleasure in camping. Even in retirement, Judith continued to stay in touch with her old friends while making plenty of new acquaintances. Judith was active in her new community and felt fulfilled with the opportunities retirement offered her.
Judith passed away on August 1, 2011 at home in Covina, California. She is survived by her husband Walter, her children, Debbie, Donna, Karen, George and Missy, son-in-laws Bill, Ray and Jorge, 13 grandchildren and her brothers Eddie, Bill, Joe and Bobby. Services were held at Custer Christiansen Chapel in Covina, California. Judith was laid to rest in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Rowland Heights, California with her first husband, George.
Simply stated, Judith was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Judith leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Judith Mae Mc Allister.
