Dear Mrs Roberta,
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Cesare.  He and you were always so kind when we ate at the restaurant.  We always enjoyed when Mr. Cesare sat at the table and spent time talking with us!  And of course the food was always amazing!  We will remember you and your family in our prayers.

Cesare was a beloved pillar of the Northshore community and he will be deeply missed. I fondly remember the countless pasta bolognese’s that I enjoyed with my family at the original highway 21 location. That restaurant was so cozy and welcoming, and every delicious Italian dish was prepared with love by Cesare and Roberta. The new restaurant close to the Causeway was so grand with extravagant chandeliers and décor, and while the menu was expanded with many excellent new options, each entrée maintained that same genuine, hand-crafted authenticity which made his original restaurant so special. Cesare always remembered us and greeted us with a flattering, jovial welcome every time we had the privilege to dine at his establishment. While the food scene in Mandeville has suffered tremendously with Cesare’s passing, even moreso we have lost a cherished friend and member of our community. It warms my heart to read the comments here and see that Cesare is remembered and loved by so many friends and family who will keep his tradition alive.

Dearest Roberta, our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your families.  Caesar's infectious smile could light up a room and make you forget your problems.  I will always remember our Christmas Book Club luncheon.  The food just kept coming...each dish more delicious than the last.  You and Caesar were the perfect couple,  always taking care of each other in health and sickness.  He will be missed by many.

When we received Cesare’s text message this past May while traveling in Europe, we looked forward to meeting you and Cesare in Strasbourg.  Later, we were disappointed upon learning you guys would not be able to make it up from Italy to meet us.  Charlotte and I enjoyed every meal at the restaurant and our conversations.  You and Cesare were great cooks and great hosts.   We will miss his bright smile, delicious food and jokes.  God bless and may he rest in peace.

We are so sorry to hear of Caesar's passing. What a warm and wonderfully entertaining person and fantastic chef!  We enjoyed many terrific meals and cooking schools at Ceasar’s.  We still rave about our private dinner service we had at our home when Ceasar and Roberta were between restaurants.  Our condolences go out to Roberta and Ceasar’s family.   May he rest in peace.
