Robert H. McCullough, Jr, age 71, of Abita Springs, La, entered into the presence of the Lord from his home on January 13, 2025, after a 2+ year battle with cancer. Throughout this battle, Bob's faith remained strong.
"Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God." (John 1:12)
Bob received Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He believed in the power of the Name of Jesus and he made the decision to become a child of God. He was a faithful servant of the Lord.
Bob was born and reared in Metairie, Louisiana. He was an avid sportsman and a lifetime member of the NRA. He had a great love for music and was an excellent self-taught guitarist. Bob graduated from East Jefferson High School, the Class of 1971. He attended LSU for a year and then transferred to Northeastern University (now ULM) where he received a degree in Business. He was an active member of Lakeshore Church in Covington.
Bob started his career in insurance and later worked in the oil and gas industry. Finally, he transitioned to a successful career in the financial services sector with the kind people of True Wealth Advisers.
In the final months of his life, Bob was cared for with great compassion by the women of Angels Within.
Bob is survived by his younger brother George McCullough (Darlene) of Baton Rouge, his niece Heather Lancaster, his great-nephew Brandon Lancaster (Ciara), his great-nephew Cameron Lecompte, his great-niece Jordan Lancaster, and his Great-great-nephew Liam Allen. He is reunited in Heaven with his father Robert H McCullough, Sr. and his mother Earline Fontenelle McCullough.
There will be no funeral services, but a Celebration of Life is being planned. In lieu of flowers, it was Bob's desire that donations be made to his church, Lakeshore Church, 15261 Brewster Road, Covington, LA 70433.
