Carol Ann Orchard

Carol was born June 15, 1940 to Lester V and Irene Carr in Baggs, Wyoming. She was the 6th of 7 children. She lived west of Dixon for a couple years then the family moved to the Gouldy ranch above Savery where she lived for the next 17 years. She married Charles Richard Orchard on December 26, 1959. The couple had 6 children, Starlene K Bobbitt of Casper Wy, Ronnie A Orchard (deceased), Terry A Orchard of Montrose Co, Mark R Orchard of Baggs Wy, Billy W Orchard of Baggs Wy, and Rodney A Orchard of Craig Co.

Carol was a stay at home wife and mother. She was a member of the Hiawatha Rebeka Lodge #21. She joined the organization on April 10, 1953. She was a lifetime member until her death, in which she held all the chairs in the organization. She was always there to help. Her favorite was the Bingo nights they used to put on.

Carol loved to garden and keep the family yard up. She canned vegetables in the summer to feed her family through the winters. She loved the outdoors. She fished, camped, and went rock hunting. She was a true rock hound. In the fall she hunted with her family. In the winters she loved to snowmobile. Many times they would go to mountains and would end up spending the night with a group of friends. She also loved to help her children in their 4-H and FFA projects.

She was known to many as UNCLE CAROL!!!!!

Carol loved being a Grandma of 9 grandkids: RJ Gibson of Baggs, Brandon Gibson of Casper, Colton Orchard of Douglas, Clay Orchard of Baggs, Kyle Orchard of Baggs, Lindsey Orchard of Montana, Tyler Orchard of Baggs, Bull Hinkle of Baggs, and Jenna Larson of Baggs; and a Great Grandma of 21 Great Grandkids.

After Carol’s husband passed she started another venture working for the Little Snake River Museum. She loved visiting with people who stopped and enjoyed sharing history with all.

She is survived by her children, Starlene Bobbitt (Joe), Terry Orchard (Gil), Mark Orchard (Ana Lisa), Bill Orchard (Floydene), Rod Orchard and all her grandkids, and great grandkids.

Carol was preceded in death by their infant son Ronnie, Husband Chuck, Parents Lester and Irene Carr, and all of her siblings except her sister Jane Dunckley.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, at the Baggs Community Center. Burial will follow at the Baggs Cemetery.
