Brenda Jane Smith

Born March 23, 1945 in Winchester, TN to William and Wilma (Yates) Thompson. They preceded her in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Karen Smith of East Peoria; one son, Alan Tod (Kim) Smith of Callahan, FL; four grandchildren, Rhian, Matthew, Brodie, Jocelyn all of Callahan, FL and one brother, William Gary Thompson of Creve Coeur.

Brenda worked for OSF in Accounts Receivable retiring in 2012.

She was a member of East Peoria First United Methodist Church.

She volunteered as much as she could in the church office, helping with funeral dinners, and the food pantry for several years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a loving and wonderful mother to both of her children taking care of them and the home as they grew up.

Her burial will be held at Fondulac Township Cemetery in East Peoria on Tuesday October 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m..

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.

Memorial contributions may be made to East Peoria Food Pantry located at the East Peoria First United Methodist, 154 E Washington St, 61611.
