Janet L McNicol

Born October 20, 1952 in Peoria to Gerald Thomas Goodman and Mamie Lois (Henson) Goodman, she married Jerry McNicol on October 9, 1971 in Creve Coeur. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Jeffrey (Penny) McNicol of Glasford; one daughter, Jennifer McNicol-Vettore of Pekin; three grandchildren, Marissa McNicol, Madelyn Vettore and Justin McNicol; one sister, Donna Harms of Pekin; one aunt, Shirley Humphry of Camden, Tennessee and one cousin, Lisa Henson-Rauer of Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Janet worked in food service for Bradley University for many years. She also co-owned and operated McNicol Family Auction and as well as B&B Hickory BBQ in Creve Coeur.

She loved to shop especially for her friends and family. She enjoyed fishing, rides in the country and camping under the right circumstances. Janet played the piano and had played for local churches earlier in life. She loved her family and cherished the time they spent together.

Her memorial visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. There will be no service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Midwest Affiliate, 530 Northeast Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, Illinois 61637.
